Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2 April 2026

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website owners.

How We Use Cookies

CarbonTrace uses only essential and functional cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. The cookies we set are necessary for the Platform to function, primarily to maintain your authenticated session.

Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may prevent some features of the Platform from working correctly, including the ability to stay logged in. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies from specific websites.

Local Storage

In addition to cookies, CarbonTrace uses browser local storage to persist your emission inventory entries between sessions. In the current app version, those inventory entries remain in your browser and are not automatically synced to a cloud database simply because you sign in.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as we add new features. Material changes will be notified via in-app notice or email.
